Bill Tigrett, his wife, Belinda, and two young children made a family decision in the early 1980's to leave the big city and their corporate occupations to move to Port O'Connor and fulfill a life long dream of becoming small business owners. Belinda began the "Just for Kids" daycare and Bill pursued his interest in the service related industry of real estate. Facing a new challenge in his life, Bill employed the skill learned from his years of education and experience in the scientific community to acquiring an understanding of the key intricacies of the real estate market in a small community. "Belinda and I have always preferred living in smaller communities because of the shared sense of belonging we feel and the chance to work together to improve the quality of life and make a difference."

Bill obtained his real estate license in 1984 and dedicated his life to becoming the most informed and conscientious real estate professional in Port O'Connor. "Since so many of our owners and visitors do not live in the surrounding area, I discovered there was a strong need for someone who could offer honest advice and dependable service." Bill has spent time with the Volunteer EMS / Fire Department, served as the Chamber of Commerce President for 4 consecutive years, was Co – Committee Chair on the King Fisher Beach development and improvement, and is currently Chairperson for the Fourth of July Fireworks Event. Bill became the Broker/Owner of Tigrett Real Estate in 1994 only after a long time friend and associate, Preston Stofer (Stofer Real Estate) passed away. Bill felt the necessity of continuing the tradition, in Preston's tradition, of a locally owned real estate company whose main focus was only in the Port O'Connor area.

Team

Cindy Vasquez is a native born Calhoun County resident who, with her husband David, has been a full time resident of Port O'Connor for more than 20 years. Cindy and David have raised their family here and have been long time contributors to the community. Cindy is active in community service projects and supportive of local school projects. Cindy obtained her real estate license in 1996 and now has achieved the level of Rental Agent for Tigrett Real Estate. Through Cindy's past work experiences and friendships in town, she has gained a reputation for honesty, trustworthiness and dedication to duty. She fully understands the needs of the individuals who are looking for a place to stay and commits herself to their service. She will listen intently to your requests and will be able to suggest the property that is best suited for your stay. Should your needs include buying real estate, she can help you there too. Leah Richter-Griffin grew up in Houston, where she worked for the Mayor of Houston as well as the Manned Spacecraft Center during Apollo. She has been a full-time Port O’Connor resident for over 10 years. She brings with her a variety of skills including sales, communication and administration. Her husband, Ken, operates Griff’s Guide Service. She is past president of the American Business Women’s Association and is a literacy volunteer. She is looking forward to helping you with your next real estate purchase.

Caroline Tumlinson is an agent in the Seadrift office. She is a native of Calhoun County. After living in other areas of Texas for many years, she and her husband Byron moved back to the Gulf Coast they both love. Following a career in graphic arts, Caroline worked for a civil litigation support firm and then as a legal secretary in the Texas Attorney General’s Office, Tax Division. After obtaining her Legal Assistant degree from Austin Community College, she and Byron moved to Waco where she worked for over nine years with attorneys whose practices consisted primarily of real estate law and included oil, gas and mineral law, eminent domain, and farm and ranch specialties. Caroline is also a Certified Professional Legal Secretary and has served actively in legal professional associations on the local and state levels. She and Byron have two children and three grandchildren.

Valerie Nelson is a long-time resident of Port O'Connor and serves Tigrett Real Estate as the Office Manager and Property Management Specialist. If anything needs to get done, Valerie is the one to do it. She is resourceful, helpful and always greets with a large smile and a friendly disposition.
